FAFSA opens – Parents and students will need to create a FSA ID before you can start filling out your FAFSA Go to www.fsaid.ed.gov to create your FSA ID. You can create your FSA ID now, just be sure to keep up with it..

 

Scholarship Information

Wendy’s High School Heisman –  For athletes who exhibit excellence in the classroom, on the field, and within their communities.  Awards range from $10-500.  Must be a senior with at least a 3.0 GPA and must have played one school sponsored sport.  www.wendyshighschoolheisman.com  Deadline:  October 2, 2017

Horatio Alger Scholarship – ranges from $2500-$22,000. Criteria: must plan to attend a 4-year college/university in the US, display financial need, co-curricular and community involvement, minimum 2.0 GPA, and US citizenship.  You must apply online at https://scholars.horatioalger.org  Deadline:  October 25, 2017

Coca-Cola Scholarship – for high school seniors who are motivated, dedicated, and involved.  250 awards will be given. For additional information, visit www.coca-colascholars.org. Deadline: October 31, 2017

 

Tennessee Promise – apply online at www.TNPromise.gov Deadline: November 1, 2017

 

Ann & Allegra Ford Scholarships for students with Learning Disabilities: Two high school seniors with documented learning disabilities can apply for these awards. Ann Ford Scholarship awards $10,000 to attend 4-yr university; Allegra Ford Scholarship awards $2500 to attend a 2-yr community college or vocational/tech program. 2018 Most Valuable Student Scholarship contest – The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2018 competition.  The 2018 MVS scholarship competition is open to any high school senior who is a US citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.  For additional information and application, visit www.elks.org/scholars Deadline: November 27, 2017

 

American Quarter Horse Foundation – AQHF will award up to $8,000 four-year scholarship. Applicants must be a member of the American Quarter Horse Association or American Quarter Horse Youth Association and live in Tennessee. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, academic merit, and AQH involvement.
