ACT for Juniors

ACT test is on Tuesday, April 3rd at Harpeth High School.

The test will be given in the English hallway. Students must report to the ACT check-in table, located at the entrance to the English hallway, no later than 8:00. Testing will begin at 8:30a.m. No one will be permitted in the testing rooms once the test begins.

All juniors are required to take the test. It is now a graduation requirement. Attendance is a priority. We recommend students arrive at school at 7:30a.m.

Students should eat a good breakfast this morning.

No electronic devices (cell phones, iPods, iPads, smart watches, fitness bands, or any other devices with recording and/or internet etc.) other than permitted calculators, are allowed in the testing room. We will keep the prohibited electronic devices at the ACT check-in table for the duration of the test. Examinees may not handle or access a cell phone or electronic device at any time in the test room or during breaks. If a student’s cell phone goes off in a test room during the testing, he/she will be removed and their test will not be scored. We recommend you leave these items at home for this day.

Car rider drop off and pick-up is in the back of the building. The front driveway is reserved for Bus rider drop off (7:15-7:45) and pick-up (2:30-3:00). Do not drop students off in the front of the building during those times.

At this meeting, students will learn more about the TN Promise college eligibility requirements, college enrollment processes from local post-secondary institutions and tnAchieves mentors will be in attendance to begin working with your students. The meeting will last one hour and students are required to remain in attendance for the full duration of the meeting.

It is mandatory for students to attend this meeting in order to remain eligible for TN Promise. Parents are encouraged to attend but cannot attend for the student.

School Safety

Schools should be safe places for students to learn and staff to educate your child(ren). HHS is continuing to ensure the building and our students are safe. Our greatest asset is our students, parents and community. If you have a safety concern please share it. You are welcome to call and you can email the Cheatham County email tip line - tip@ccstn.org.

We continue to have various drills throughout the school year to practice procedures to help everyone know and understand what is expected from both students and adults.

Yearbook Information

To All Parents and Guardians of Students:

Yearbooks are still on sale for the price of $75. However, due to schedule issues and the time frame as a result, yearbooks may not be delivered until students are dismissed for summer. We are working hard to ensure that this does not happen, but it is a very real possibility. All of yearbooks that have been purchased will be still held for the individuals who have purchased them, we will hold a day when everyone can come and pick up purchased yearbooks. Thank you all for your support.
