The mission of the Harpeth High school counseling program is to work together as a team of counselors, teachers, administrators, students, parents, and community members to provide programs for all studnets in the areas of career, academic, and personal/social development.
Individual Counseling: An opportunity for students to talk freely and confidentially about any concerns or problems they may be having.
Referrals: Counselors help studnets and their families find appropriate services in teh community when they are in need.
As counselors, we try to keep the counseling sessions with our students confidential. We want them to trust us and feel safe when they come to talk to us. If we find that a student is going to harm themselves in any way, is planning on harming someone else, or someone is harming them; then we must break confidentiality and inform the appropriate people.
